The International College of Veterinary Pharmacy
An affiliate of SVHP, the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy was officially incorporated on 2022. The purpose of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy is to support (1) the development and oversight of principles, standards, and accreditation for veterinary pharmacy training programs; and (2) the development, implementation, and oversight of a veterinary pharmacy specialty credential recognized as “Diplomate of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy” or “DICVP”, and (3) the development, implementation, and oversight of veterinary pharmacy training programs for pharmacists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other professionals associated with veterinary pharmacy practice.
Residency Program Accreditation
ICVP is responsible for the establishment of PGY1 Veterinary Pharmacy Residency Accreditation Guidelines. ICVP works hard to ensure that each accredited program maintains high standards to provide the very best of veterinary pharmacy training.
Pharmacist Board Certification
ICVP is currently the only organization offering pharmacists the opportunity for board certification in veterinary pharmacy. The title of Diplomate of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy (DICVP). distinguished those pharmacists who have met rigorous credentialing requirements and have passed an arduous examination to prove competence.
Membership
Membership of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy is limited to those who have completed Board Certification and have been inducted as Diplomates of the International College of Veterinary Pharmacy.
